On October 19 the National City Council heard 2 to 1 Yes on renaming the park in National City after a true American Sheroe, Dolores Huerta. Let your voices be heard. SI SE PUEDE ! Join us as we plan art works to recognize Dolores for not only being the co-founder of the United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez, but also for her lifetime of advocacy for the rights of women and the oppressed. We are working throughout the region to honor 91-year-old Dolores with art, music, educational workshops, naming rights and much more. We welcome all ideas, have been in touch with family, and already have sketches of some ideas by muralists Mario Torero and Salvador Barajas. Join us, as this is a community effort!
